Recent research indicates that 16 Psyche probably underwent a large number of collisions during the Solar System’s formation. The Psyche mission experienced a large number of difficulties leading up to its launch (including the COVID-19 pandemic, software testing problems, and thruster issues.) I wanted to draw a parallel between all of the impacts that the asteroid survived and all of the setbacks that the mission survived.
