In the GIF "Psyche: The Journey to the Soul," the goddess Psyche holds a glowing light, symbolizing her soul. The animation begins with the psyche asteroid being orbited by the spacecraft, with the NASA logo glitching into view. There's a diagram of the spacecraft showing the various instruments, where the animation then transitions into the construction sequences, and then shows the launch sequence + different segments. The animation ends with the spacecraft in front of Psyche.

This book is the first in a series about the four orbits the spacecraft will inhabit once it reaches Psyche. The cover features my drawn interpretation of the asteroid surrounded with a light up electromagnetic field. On the back is a blurb about how and why scientists are going to look for an electric field. The interior is hand sewn and finished with handmade marbled end pages.

Connected to a clear acrylic dowel, flowing arches in a variety of shapes reach out, in order from smallest to largest, on both the right and left sides. Since the pieces are placed offset from the previous piece, the arches appear to be moving outwards from the center when spun, like ripples in water. The way the pieces flow out is to mimic the magnetic field surrounding the Psyche spacecraft.

The piece depicts an array of black rectangles representing chalkboards. These rectangles are filled with black marker, and layered with colored pencil to give a chalkboard texture. On each board are various math and science concepts jotted using a white marker to represent chalk. Overlaid at the center is an outline of the goddess Psyche. Behind her are Psyche’s solar panels acting as wings.
