PROJECT DESCRIPTION

“A Trip Around the Asteroid Belt” is a web game meant to engage the public and encourage them to learn more about the NASA-led Psyche mission. Made in the Godot Engine with the native GDScript language, this game is based on a real-life board game made in another Psyche project. It sees the players moving around the board, buying and trading asteroids to gain funding and discover scientific data along the way.

This work was created in partial fulfillment of the Penn State – Behrend Capstone Course “CMPSC 484” and “SWENG 481.” The work is a result of the Psyche Student Collaborations component of NASA’s Psyche Mission (https://psyche.ssl.berkeley.edu). “Psyche: A Journey to a Metal World” [Contract number NNM16AA09C] is part of the NASA Discovery Program mission to solar system targets.
