PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The problem that was faced by this team was the requirement of developing a power solution for a new mission to asteroid 16 Psyche’s surface. This problem had restrictions in weight and size the solution could take. The team’s goal was to come up with a power solution and then verify that this solution would work on Psyche with the conditions that are present there.
This work was created in partial fulfillment of the Penn State University Capstone Course “ECE 25-26/14.” The work is a result of the Psyche Student Collaborations component of NASA’s Psyche Mission (https://psyche.ssl.berkeley.edu). “Psyche: A Journey to a Metal World” [Contract number NNM16AA09C] is part of the NASA Discovery Program mission to solar system targets.
