PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Journey to Psyche: Mission to a Metal World is a browser-based card strategy game built in Unity 2022 LTS in which players aged 12 and up manage Power, Budget, and Time resources across four mission phases using a 31-card deck to simulate planning NASA’s Psyche asteroid mission. Designed for 20-40 minute sessions, it requires no downloads or plugins and aligns gameplay mechanics with STEM learning outcomes in planetary science and mission engineering.

This work was created in partial fulfillment of the Cleveland State University Capstone Course “CIS 493.” The work is a result of the Psyche Student Collaborations component of NASA’s Psyche Mission (https://psyche.ssl.berkeley.edu). “Psyche: A Journey to a Metal World” [Contract number NNM16AA09C] is part of the NASA Discovery Program mission to solar system targets.
